I've been seeing a different kind of braided hose on race cars for the last few years, instead of the braided stainless steel. What is it? Is it lighter or stronger, or cheaper or easier to use? What about safety how does it compare with braided steel in that regard? Thanks, Joel

Lighter, but they only give up abrasion resistance and bling. The stainless really never added much strength wise anyway.

Don't use it, does not last as long as stainless braided. Your experience my differ from mine but for the added cost it's not worth it.
What doesn`t last?
Most braided hose has rubber inside, no rubber will last very long. It's no different than regular rubber hose without the braid, it don't last forever.
A lot guys think it last for years but it don't.
It should only be used in short lengths and replaced every couple three or so years.
