My '84 originally had a slant 6. I put a 440 in it back in 1989. It's time to replace the throttle cable and the one that's in it is probably left over from the 6 and is too long. Does anyone know where I can find a throttle cable along with the measurements? It looks like I need a pretty short one.

I would think any V-8 cable would work around that year (81-87) of truck.

I have had one of the braided stainless cables that you cut to fit on mine for 8 years now. Had it on the slant six, and shortened it to work with the RB engine. Works great and looks good too!

Rock auto had one for my '85, a Dorman part #04181, 26 3/4" long.

Would that work?

It takes gasoline to interest me.

I got a couple in the shed, I can scratch one up for you. I have the fan shroud you were looking for also.

I can return the flavor on the white face gauges that work awesome in my truck. all lights work nice and bright with high beams and a ALT GAUGE that moves and shows it does charge as well as charging.. that's something I have NEVER saw a mid 80s ALT gauge do before.

shoot me your addy again
