I know. I thought a little sarcasm would be nice on a cool day.

If I hit the lotto I will make ownership of that vehicle a top priority.

how do you tell an original Power Wagon from a 4x4 truck? The article says the tailgate has been painted and that is the only place it says Power wagon. Didn't they have any other emblems that said PW? Is PW a package available on a regular 4x4 like a sno-commander plow truck?

I thought all Dodge 4x4s were Power Wagons.

I was amused when the artical stated that everything was original to the truck, the motor, the transmission, the Dana 44 front, the Dana 60 rear, the interior, the TIRES,blah blah and then states it only had 90,000 original miles.
My first thought was BS, 90K on the original tires, and a Dana 60 in a 1/2 ton. I guess facts are not always required.

Sure looks like a 1:24 scale model in some of the pictures.

It looks like a nice truck, but I'm not sure I buy the whole story as written. Gene

yeah, the rear end in the pic is a 9.25 and that was what I was wondering, are all Dodge pickup 4x4's of the 70's era Power Wagons?

Powerwagons are what 4was are and go back into the 50s with the Flatfender Powerwagons. In 81 they started to call them PowerRams

So is my 80 RC considered a power wagon? Kinda like my buddies 1960 Townwagon/Powerwagon.

its a powerwagon, all 4wd trucks were power wagons. that particular truck has been for sale for ever... it is an orange truck, and big block too, but not an original "Macho Power Wagon".

Dinuba, California, Home of the PALOMINO ranch and 440 truck farm, where dodge trucks have a home. Have Four 1979 dodge PALOMINO trucks now.

Ah: I can't remember though in 80 if they called them Power Rams or Power Wagons. In 81 they were Power Rams for sure, I think 80 was called Ram as well.
In 80 the new management at Chrysler was trying to forget about the full time 4WD debacle that had given Dodge a bad name in the later 70's. I know I lived that era.

I Like it!!!!!!! Not a 4wd guy but it's cool. It's had the Adventurer SE emblems added because that's not the SE interior like they stated "the high trim model". Still one cool truck.

1980's were still Power Wagons.
One question I have is didn't all the power wagons have the badge in the birdbath? Or was it only for some of the years?

Yes: It should have the birdbath emblems, so that and the SE badges raises lots of questions. Beautiful truck though.
