I have a dumb question:

why aren't there any gears made/sold for a Dana 60 below a 3.54 out there?

is it something about the parts and the clearances?

or just not a market for it?

thanks guys!

There is, but you need a dana 61 to get the 3.07 gears, its because of the distance that the pinion needs to be offset from the ring gear. People get 61's once in a while thinking its a 60 and normal gears wont work in those housings. Do a google search. Tim

Spicer made a 3.3 Dana 60 ring and pinion in the early '80s. I think they were only available in Ford pick-ups.
