hemi-itis OP I Live Here Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 12,588 Great Neck,LI,new york	For years installing a 2nd gen hemi created a problem on the passenger side where the shock stud comes through the shock tower. I have seen the inverted shock tower and coil over set ups and others that just cut the stud above the bolt. B G Racing master Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 9,910 Eighty Four, PA	The simple solution is to weld the shock hole shut and re-drill it aprox, 1" outward.Just weld a steel plate or large steel washer top and bottom to reinforce the new hole. The posted pic is without a gasket.When I glued the gasket on it wouldn't fit properly.I might still have to drop the shock stud to remove the cover,that's why I was thinking of eliminating the stud from the engine bay 7975955-1.27.13009.jpg (139 downloads) HEMI-ITIS has no cure. My A body had the Shock tower angle trimmed back for valve cover removal, the body shop did a nice job, but when I went to re-bush the control arms, I had to cut a hole in wheel well to get the top front bolt out Proper prior planning.
