For years installing a 2nd gen hemi created a problem on the passenger side where the shock stud comes through the shock tower.
I have seen the inverted shock tower and coil over set ups and others that just cut the stud above the bolt.
Has anyone ever converted the upper shock mount to a "T bar" mount?? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hal-ss200sd/overview/

The simple solution is to weld the shock hole shut and re-drill it aprox, 1" outward.Just weld a steel plate or large steel washer top and bottom to reinforce the new hole.

I agree. Done this before and it's super easy.

So if it's that way, just have to hit the grinder wheel with the rubber & washer?
The posted pic is without a gasket. When I glued the gasket on it wouldn't fit properly.I might still have to drop the shock stud to remove the cover, that's why I was thinking of eliminating the stud from the engine bay

With the angle change it doesn't interfere with the vc removal.

My A body had the Shock tower angle trimmed back for valve cover removal, the body shop did a nice job, but when I went to re-bush the control arms, I had to cut a hole in wheel well to get the top front bolt out Proper prior planning.
