yes you can mix different DP colors as long as they have the same catalyst in them.

in my P sheet # P-196 under tinting it says DPLF colors may be blended together. then there is a note under it that says DO NOT BLEND DP AND DPLF together

I mixed black and light grey on my car. No problem.

Thanks I no longer have any DP only the lead free.And i knew that you could not mix the leaded with the new unleaded or mix the 401 and 402, or use the old 401 and 402 with the new LF{lead free}
I have half a can of 40lf{green} and wanted to use black from now on. But did not want to mix colors if that was no ok.
Wonder what half a can of green{40} and a whole can of black{90} looks like mixed? I have not bought the black yet.
FYI I used to use the{40} green since i was told it had more lead than the others. but now they are lead free

Green and black mixed together would make a really dark shade of green. Go ahead and dump it in with the black if you want to.

black and green will make a very dark green.
i was under the impression from PPG school that green, DP40LF had the highest level of corrosion inhibitors of all of the DP primers.

That is what the paint store told me but was only the old DP not the lead free! Now it does not matter
