The unit is mounted under the battery. Several reports of battery acid problems with wiring. Check the vacuum connections. I've had a squirrel chew through the harness more than once. Must be pretty tasty?

1. Clockspring in the steering column.

2. All the cruise control wiring in the steering column: Check for broken wires if you have a tilt wheel, especially if you live in a cold climate. Everytime the wheel gets moved up and down those wires get yanked on. They are fine enough that it takes very little to break them.

3. Lube the cruise control cable. If the cable pulls too hard the cruise can be disabled (on newer Rams anyhow).
