I used one like that in a 68 Dart I just used a drive shaft with a slip yoke worked good and bolted right in with a drive shaft change

dont know how right behind the rear seal is a roller bearing no way a slip yoke would slid in the tail housing unless you are talking about making a drive shaft with a slip joint like they use in a truck.
I think thats what he did if I read it correctly

No, but I will learn. The shorty 727 was mostly a freebe. That'll be a good starting point. I spent some time reading on Allpar last nite, and I'll get a 727's for Dummies book.

yes,I built a drive shaft with a slip yoke like in a truck I would install it and build a new shaft way cheaper and quick run what ya brung
