InTeReStiNg story LIBtree .... they have permits etc ......

STREET RACED carz huh ..? ..

Whats your point........it is well documented that the "race night" is in a controlled environment. Airport, industrial park, whatever it is. It is also well documented that they get permits when they do the "cash days" street races. How else you going to get dozens of passes off at a street race without getting caught. It is also obvious they make their "test hits" on public streets and when they went to Texas, there were road signs where they were racing.........So what does all this mean, now pay attention as you seem to be a little slow. Permits or not, airport, industrial park whatever, they are NOT doing any of this on a prepped race track. They are public areas. Be it a parking lot, runway, whatever, it is still more or less like the street we drive on everyday. Hence the name STREET RACED. Was THAT slow enough for you to follow.

You want to piss and moan about the show fine....but PLEASE find something new to piss and moan about. This same old tired crap shows NO imagination on your part. I am sure an expert such as yourself, with such a keen eye has noticed something ELSE that ruffled your feathers. Complain about THAT for a while.

... and it's pretty obvious that I watch - otherwise I wouldn't have picked up that new high-tech technique for diagnosing EFI control problems.

Permits no permits it is still off the track. Sometimes we used to block the road so if the police came from a known direction they were stuck in the back up enough to get the racers out of there.

Maybe the NHRA should take notes. There are more people watching the OKC boys than watch a NHRA event on TV when it is supposed to be on. I know every time I used to try to tune in I usually saw some 10-12 yr olds playing baseball.

If they can make baseball (which I don't watch unless I am at the game) or golf (I do watch sometimes) interesting then maybe they can learn something.

NASCAR figured it out by making the drivers and personalities the stars and not the cars.

Last night's show was one of the best so far. More racing, less drama. I hope this isn't the end of Farm truck and Azin after their loss. They are a riot.

Busting a Porsch while pulling a fishing boat. Now, who here has seen that done before?

Farmtruck and Azn are not going anywhere, they are "contracted" to the show and are some of the main players. The "contract" guys get more air time, so it easy to figure who they are. The others get paid, but not near as much

Thanks Monte for all the real info on the show and I've read alot of the Yellowbullet thread where Chief has given alot of good info.
It sure beats anything else on TV and I love seeing the cars, my only gripe is the terrible Indy car sounds, I really hope someone stops them from doing that.
And don't let Misterfiberglass ruffle your feathers, he has nothing to do with racing cars, just another internet troll that can't spell.

Anyone else have a soft spot for this Varley dude? I respect what he has done with all the kids and I dig that old fox body

Oh ...you think so ?... no experience with race cars ? ... and just an internet troll ??

WHY don't you ENGAGE your brain before typing on your keyboard ? I have more HANDS-ON experience in the performance industry, with real-fast real street cars and with GENUINE (safely done) street racing than most people here or on YB. And I can safely say ..... THAT includes YOU.

And if you actually READ what I have written about the show .... I like it .... but it needs to be "cleaned-up" a tad.

Yeah, just as long as he doesn't go Mary Hart on us and have his legs showing under a glass table.

That was awesome, Pro Sport, he took the bait right off the surface!

I like Monte and the thing's he has to say and respect his opinions and all, but,,,,,this leg deal under the glass table thing don't give me that warm and fuzzy feeling, or a good mental image.

Thank you, that is the best typing/spelling I've seen you do in 10 years. I knew you had it in ya!
But I can't say that I've ever seen you contribute anything that has to do with racing Mopars though, ever. Please start sharing your years of knowledge. You telling some one else to engage their brain before typing on a keyboard, that's the funniest thing I've read all week!

Glad to hear you like the show.
