I think Monza is the fastest car out there. For some reason he doesn't run much..

Did you guys happen to spot anyone in the crowd while the murder nova was testing at the track. Think drag week. My son spotted him right away.
Saw Jeff Lutz from Pittsburgh behind the murder nova on monday"s episode.

At the end of every show they race. And the racing is real, even if everything around it isn't. And since I like drag racing, especially heads up drag racing, and there is no other heads up drag racing on TV, it gets my .

I don't get it...do any of those fatash guys even race? or do they just run their mouth? I don't get a person that dumps tons of cash into a car and then lets somebody else drive it. If you are too big or too old to drive the car, build something you can. Plus the entire show looks staged, after that guy put that gold mustang in the ditch I wouldn't let him drive jack... he almost balled it up racing it too.
Cost lots of $ to be in "show business". Soap opera for macho men who like cars.
So twenty percent have drivers and you say that? I guess you guys need to go back to the house wife's channel you will like it better.

You must be referring to Varley? He was diagnosed with a heart condition and told by his doctor not to race. His foster son is now the driver.

Can any of them make a fast car w/o 300hp of N2O?
I'm sure they're still alot quicker than you without their power adders. Some of them use NOS, some turbos, some Prochargers, they're not trying to run 11's.
I'm also sure none of them can drive their car 50+ miles race all day and drive home..with the wife and kids in the car either. I only saw N2O cars that's why I asked, same as that other LA Street racing show...small blocks w/ big stages of it. And I'm not hating on the bottle, this cars getting a 100-150 this winter.

Why don't you go show them how it's done. You get anything with enough ass to make it run in the high 4 sec range N/A and I guarantee I can get your chance to show it on TV

I watch the show. It's entertaining. As far as Chevy engines and such, how many parts are factory? I'm guessing to go that fast most everything is high dollar and aftermarket? Despite the "make". I think they should do a show called "Track Outlaws" starting the F.A. S.T. guys and gals. Would be cool to see them working on the factory appearing stuff and running the times they do! But I have nothing to add, so back to my Purple Shaft cam and 8.75.

Say it ain't so. People trailer cars to the street races??? Been happening for as long as I was in the game from the late 70's til today. You think for a minute that a 9 second car in the 80's was going to be driven 100 miles to take somebodies money... LMAO. I'd trailer my car to race if I had to go more than 2 miles. I did drive the car to work on occasion, that was ~4 miles one way. Plates, insurance, lights... street car.

Yes I would always trailer my street car to the spot. If your car breaks and you are sitting there waiting for a tow or your trailer to come, because you didn't bring it. So now a cop pulls up see's the marks, it's a know race spot and there you are sitting there like a chump. I wonder how many tickets he would write. But you know you can tell him it's a street car I drove it here.
