Anybody spend time behind the wheel of one of these things? I borrowed this from a friend and he said enjoy you'll get it figured out  . Just bending the bars to tie the front cage bars to the frame rails. Are they simple enough that I won't go broke from buying tubing  . Anything will help. thx matt

Here's where I'm at with the car. I hope I'll be able to thread the tube in in one piece. It will also have to bend over a little bit in side the car.

Your doing good so far  also angle the bars with a lesser angle instead of 90* bends for the front its stronger

I dont want to tell you what to do but when you go
to pull your engine you are gonna have some issues..
the down bar at the front and the engine plate will
hit the plate mounts(put them on the rear side of the
plate) and the plate will hit the bars... move all
that now ...... if you want

Mike, Thanks for your input. Here's another picture from the top. I think the other picture could be deceptive. Do you see those problems with the top side picture? I haven't finalized the fore and aft position yet. How far forward do you think the bar should be placed? thx matt

Notice the end of the motor plate and the location of
your down bar.. if you go forward with the engine, will
you have enough room to drop the back of the engine
to go up and not run into that bar or give you any
hassle with the motor plate on the engine

If your door bars are not X'ed, you may want to do that now also. If you seal or paint the bars where they go thru the firewall you will see flex right there. Triangulate the upper part of the X bar to the area your front bars meet the A pillar bars and it will eliminate this area of flex. AMHIK  Hope this helps, Beep PS. Looks like you are doing a good job with that bender!
