.430/444" is the normal 4 barrel cam. It's a great long life cam for a street muscle car. It has a excellent sound with a high vacuum engine build. The idle is purrr-fect. I use it in my 323" 4sp 4dr, and it is exciting.

From the archieves.

And that, my friends, is the "cam card" from MPP. No, you don't get specs for the cam you ordered, you get ALL they have to offer. Enjoy, and good luck!

The "stock" replacement cam for a 340 is about the middle of the chart posted, AND the CL is 114, NOT 112!!!

EDIT: No offense to anyone intended, I'm just bashing the MPP "cam cards". What a joke they are. And here's another just because it's appropriate

Death or Glory...it's just another story.

So a stock pulled from a 1970 340 cam will be 430/444 with either 222 or 224 dur @ .050 and a 114 LSA?

If your thinking of using a stock 340 cam, I highly recommend talking to Bob Karakachian at Mrsixpack racing. I think he may have a repop of the 68-4spd cam available.

I used an MP .450/.455 cam and it was OK. At the time I didn't know Bob, and the Comp. Cam. Xtreme 268 cam wasn't out either.

After talking with MANY A12 guys, and planning to sticking with bob's cams in the future.

I don't think the duration @ .050 was in the 220's i think the real duration was somewhere around 214 @.o50 this goes for the bb stock cams also.
