I'm helping a guy sell his '69 Dart GTS Big Block 383 magnum car and today when I was inspecting it I found that it has a matching engine and transmission in it, but out of another '69 Dart GTS big block 383 magnum car!! The owner told me it wasn't numbers matching but he didn't know this. I am going to contact the GTS site to see if the car this engine and trans belongs to is still around. If so, he could be the new buyer of this car! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif)

Can you post the VIN numbers?
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

You are ASSUMING the person will be happy to fork over what 20k or more just to get his engine back , and then be STUCK trying to sell a NON NUMBER MATCHING car .
I'll have what he's having
I'm not assuming anything, it's just a possibility and that's not even the point. It would be interesting to know if the other car still exists and why was the engine and trans pulled to go into this car. And where did the original engine and trans go for this car? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shruggy.gif) The VIN on the engine and trans is LS23H9B***878
