I've used mine several times. No issues. I was skeptical at first, but it works great.

I actually route an old timing belt through the holes and hook on to that. offers more manueverability for me.

look's just like the Jegs brand one that I have had for a number of years now and has worked good for just the engine but if i am installing both engine and trans I use the 4 point type that has a screw type adjuster to balance the load and be able to tip it back and forth.

I had a welder bud make me up FIVE of those .... BUTTT on an alum intake make sure the threads in the intake are good and you use LONG ENUFF bolts or studs OR they could pull out.

I have used that type on a full dressed BB/aluminum manifold. No problems. As posted, make sure you have full thread engagement. I gently tighten the carb flange mounting bolts... not full torque to add to the load.
