output speed sensor problems are common on 604s the sensor is less than 30.00 from dodge the last time I purchased one

They are easy to change but the vans have known tranny problems. I changed mine then not long after I had to rebuild the tranny.

input/output speed sensors very common.yes there are codes for them.usually the speedo goes out also.and the trans will go into limp mode.Stay in second gear ,not shift up or down.

if it works ok at lower speeds then it's not a speed sensor issue
