I wondered if the viper cast iron manifolds are interchangable with the truck v10?If so would there be a performance gain?or would they not bolt up.I am don't know if the heads mounting points are the same or not.I figured someone here would be in the know

i would say yes that they will bolt to the motor. the engine is the same 8.0/488. i looked up headers and gaskets on summit the gaskets are the same. I think they would bolt up but im not sure if they would clear everything else. i see why you would want to run maifolds $574 for the cheap ones at least it isn't a viper or check this out!!!

probally cost as much as a couple of manifold from a stingy salvage yard. just my

I am not 100% sure that the viper manifolds are cast. Regardless, they will bolt onto a SRT-10 V10 (the viper truck motor). I do not know if they will bolt up to the cast iron/heavy non-viper v10 truck motor (I want to say no).

The viper manifolds exit out the side where as the truck ones exit the rear. Modifications are in order to clear exhaust pipes. In fact, people who use the viper v10 ofter cut off the end of the manifold, swap from side to side and weld them on to point towards the back.

My Viper v10 engine swap uses the SRT-10 Viper motor exhaust manifolds (which exit out the back). If I were to guess at performance deltas I would rate them as:

#1 Viper manifold
#2 Viper SRT-10 Truck manifold
#3 Cast iron v10 truck manifold (these suck).

Cool thanks for the info.I believe the ones i were shown were truck manifolds.they are cast and look to exit to the rear.I was just unsure if they would bolt to my cast iron truck motor.I have heard the truck manifolds are horrible.I thought if they might work it would be a neat swap.I haven't had the truck long enough yet to see how it does.I am still fixing some of the previous owners lack of maintnance.
