I see the job is done. But I did mine by drilling then tapping the collar. Threading a bolt into it, and using a slide hammer to pull it out.

Mmmmmmm good idea but i did it the hard way i got the center out with the bearing then used my head porting kits to cut back the outer section then used a chisel to remove it came out quick but i like your way & what other said more..

Just the opposite of what we were talking about.

I learned a cool trick to remove a external steel sleeve/collar, inner bearing race on a shaft, etc or say a lower control arm pivot/mounting stud or similar and you need to get that sleeve off.

Is to use a ballpien hammer on the steel collar/sleeve and with just a few blows of the ball end of the hammer it expands the sleeve/collar and it comes right off.
