Just purchased a 2000 Concorde LXI with the 3.2 engine. Runs great but here's the problem:
For the past 3 or 4 days we start the car and drive appox. 2-3 miles up the road and at exactly the same spot it dies (just stops running with no check engine lights coming on). We pull off of the side of the road, turn the key completely off and it will restart and run fine. It only does this on first start. We do not have the key pad for the security system. Thought it might have something to do with the Anti-theft???
Any ideas about what's going on???????? Has anyone had the same problem??????

When my fuel pump died the shop connected some type of pressurized fuel can to the injector rail and verified the car would run when it had that fuel. I am not sure about the theft system? I thought the stock one would not let you start the car? but I had a 1997, not a 2000 model.
FWIW, the in tank fuel puml was very expensive!
I think $350+ even with the discount I get from the dealer.

Its not a theft problem. It could be the crank sensor.
