And Graham Light got the acting credit.
I should have maybe checked the stunt crew.
RIP Gordie. I remember you well......but not exactly fondly.
His steady beating up on my favorites back in the day forced a respect tinged dislike for him , but he was definitely a player at a time when the class had just that.......class.

Sad when all the true greats are starting to leave us. Loved that scene in Fast Company with him going sideways down a street between cars. The guy could drive.

He sure was a character!!......I did the clutch on the Smokin' Joe's Funny car all of '94 and '95 when he was driving......We had a LOT of fun working on that car........

That's me, 4th from the left......

When I saw him racing at Woodburn in the late '70s, he was definitely "The Man" in that region's F/C racing circuit

Sorry to hear he passed, especially since 65 just doesn't seem that old to me these days.

I was lucky to have met Gordie at the Gator nationals in the early 90's when he was driving the Candies/Hughes Funny Car with Roland Leong as crew chief. I was a guest of Mopar Performance for the weekend.

Because of Gordie I was able to meet every famous drag racer i ever wanted meet. Better yet Gordie introducing me to to John Force got me a picture of Force giving me a big hug and an invite to be inside the ropes of their pit for the race weekend. Wow...

Well Gordie got eliminated early & Force won under the lights. I was at the finish line for that...Force went thru the lights with all 8 candles lit!!! We partied with Force and then later I sat in the Waffle house with Eddie and Ercie Hill and Miss mopar and we talked for a couple of hours.

Thank you Gordie! RIP
