I rebuilt the OD section of my 518 following the instructions in the ATSG manual but I didn't have the 6227-2 tool so I machined a dummy shaft for assembly. It went back together smoothly but the sun gear is just slightly off center. The main output will slide into it right up to the sun gear bushing then there is a little pressure on to seat it completely. I can pull it back out by head so it's just a few thousands off so my question is.

Will it align itself the first time the OD clutch is operated and is it safe to assemble and run it like that.
