Hi to all,
I have a early 1971 383 two barrel Barracuda with air.
The motor is a blue color. Does anyone know the correct color to paint it?
I've bought Chrysler Blue and green but they both seem way off.

Well if its early 71 it would be orange not blue. Very few late 71's got blue motors...

Built date say A17. Would the be considered early?
The motor had never been apart and is blue.
I thought maybe it was blue because it has air and is a 2 barrel.

A is very early and it should be orange. I could be wrong though.

All '70 & '71 383 2bbl engines should be "Chrysler blue", the fresh paint looks alot brighter, cleaner compared to the 37+ year old paint.

I think 6bblgt is right about the paint being old.
I was wondering about the turquoise color also.
Were 71 motors ever painted that color?

Anyone have any pictures of blue motors in an e body.
