I know a lot of tracks around have called it a year, so if you need another shot to scratch the itch, behind the wheel or from behind the fence, PRP is open this Saturday. Weather looks good, DRY, low to mid 50s! Gates open 11am, time trials start at noon, and there is a gamblers race. Race fuels are available too, and Carmen's Cafeteria will be offering discount deals on food as they want to sell out their stock. And some joker will be on the mic...

Weather is looking really nice, partly sunny, mid 50s! I'm hoping there are a lot of cars in the gamblers race.

Chuck....what is the Gobblefest on the 23rd? Is that a regular raced day of some sort?

Come-on Steve. Are you getting OLD or what. I posted this yesterday on the other site you asked this same question.
Oh by the way. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The return of GobbleFest! Saturday, November 23!
11-06-2013

This is no turkey of a race! It's an absolute blast, a fun way to wind up the season. Gobblefest is racing and lunch, and who doesn't like that combination, especially when the lunch is a Thanksgiving style spread with turkey and the trimmings? There will be at least 2 races, index style. What is an index race? It's a bracket race, where red lights and breakouts are losses still, but we set the dial in for the entire class! Here are the rules:
* Daily driven cars and trucks only! No motorcycles or racecars.
* Event will be rain or shine.
* Passengers allowed. All drivers and passengers must wear seat belts.
* 2 drivers can double enter with the same car. (This can make for some dinner table bragging rights between spouses, siblings, etc!) Must use 2 numbers on car.
* No other form of double entry allowed.
* Index will be randomly set for each race, in the 20.00 to 29.99 range
* First race - .500 sportsman tree, deep staging allowed (both may change for race 2).
* Forward staging only. NO TURNING OUT BULBS AND BACKING UP!
* NO BURNOUTS!

Entry fee details to follow, payout to at least winner and runner up, to be determined by number of entries. Gates open at 9:30am, time trials for race 1 start at 10:30am. Lunch at 12:30pm, followed by race 2. In order to have enough food for all, please let us know you're coming, by emailing your name and how many are coming with you, to amber@pittsburghracewaypark.com

GobbleFest is a lot of fun, good way to wrap up the year, and with a Thanksgiving dinner included with your admission (race or spectator), can't beat it.

But that's 2 weeks away.... got bidness to take care of tomorrow, and hopefully next week if the weather cooperates. At this time of year, really can't tell, so I think it's safest to think that tomorrow is the last real race day.
