ain,t no 80, they had bigger load tubes and A LOT more beef around the whole unit, key if it looks just a pass car except for the pinion snubber mnt pad most likely a 60.
He said Ford Truck. I find it harsh to believe that you can't find any 72-93 Dodge 3/4-1tons. A Very Large chunk of them are D60s. No clue what fords had

On the back side of the Passenger side axle tube you will find a string of 6 numbers stamped into the tube. The first number will be 6 for a 60. Take the numbers to a differential shop that has all the Dana Spicer catalogs and look up the number. When a new version of the catalogs are printed, they drop the older listings so you will probably have to look at more than one catalog. If the tube has been changed then... You mentioned the 16 spline axles, IIRC that is a common Ford deal. A new Limited Slip Differential with 30 to 35 spline axles is in your future if you put any real power to the ground. I have a rebuilt 30 spline PowerLock carrier that will accept 3.54 to 4.10 gears if you need it. PM me if you are interested, I want to move it. Good Luck

This.
The numbers are all you need. The Dana/Spicer catalogs DO NOT list axles by vehicle, they can't help you without the number.
