the right amount of torque. they are all flares at the carbs.
yep, that's about right. the easiest way i have found is to keep the 2 brass connectors just a little loose on all the lines, mount up the 3 carb ones to snug and wiggle each line as you snug nut. once all 3 are snugged up, then snug up the 2 connectors. once every thing is snug go ahead and tighten them all up. works for me every time!

if you bought them as a kit you should not have to bend anything.
what he said, are you sure you got them going to the right carbs? I use teflon tape on mine. and DO NOT crank them too tight.

And for what it's worth,if you flare a piece of 5/16" copper tube, cut off the flare, insert it in the inlet fitting first,it won't leak and you can take it apart with one wrench.
Bill do you have any pictures of these? You mentioned it on the playground and I tried to make some but couldn't get them to fit.
I did figure out how to tighten without leaking anywhere though. Who'd think something this simple could take that many tries to learn.
I'd think the copper would be the better way though. Maybe copper washer?
Mark, all you need do is make the flare then cut it off.Did it years ago on refrigeration connections. If you make a normal (not double) flare it will fit.As far as a washer I don't think that would work well as it may or may not seal around the tapered part of the fitting.

I don't use them on my 6 pak, yet. I use oil on the threads. IMO teflon tape is a really bad idea.
1/2" line... Use type R tubing because it is thinner than L and fit's better.

Well that was terrible....I am going to order another set of lines....I got these to work after a ludicrous amount of effort. On top of everything else the reason I was screwing around with the center carb was to use a different power valve as I had more vacuum than I initially thought when I was adjusting the mixture screws (which worked before)...but in the course of events I backfired like a shot gun and think I killed the new one....as now I can close the mixture screws and it still runs....really running rich...very frustrated as I am likely my own worst enemy
do yourself a favor, i don't know (you never said) where you bought your lines from or made them but my suggestion is to use Dixie Restoration. Randy sells Fine Lines and will stand behind them. http://www.dixierestorationparts.com/
