Doug is off of the ventilator and speaking. He has serious short term memory loss but knows where is lives. I'd say this is as good as it could be for now.
Jason just left me a message saying he was heading up to Barstow to visit him. Good news indeed.........
My wife has work and school tonight. She blew off class last night for us to head up. We should get back up tomorrow evening. My wife is my rock. I don't think I could make it by my self with this much stuff going on. I almost lost it when I walked into his room yesterday. I would have without her.

Best wishes for Doug and family. Lets hope it all works out well, and it sounds like he's a tough dude, so we are hoping for the best, and we look forward to some good news. Thanks for the updates.

The latest out of Barstow is that Doug may be released as early as Sunday. He now remembers just minutes before he went down. They are now just trying to get his meds in order soas this never happens again. Thanks to all for your concern. I believe soon Doug may be thanking you himself.
