Them older heater control valves can be expensive. The one for my 64 Newport was under the dash and massive and rusty. Only one I could find was NOS in the box. $250 I opted for a universal inline one with a manual t-handle to turn it on of off. Not resto correct but worked great and cant beat the price. Think it was like $22.

i am probably going that route i found a hcv but its 195 + 125 core (dont have old one) i like the looks of a man one i found for a 77 bronco, all i will need is a longer cable to hook the factory controls to the valve. at 16.99 cant beat it. thanks shane
