The front seat on our 70 RR is getting tired internally. The metal mesh, well not exactly a mesh but a back and forth wire that essentially is the support is broken in a couple of places. Is there a source for this? Shipping a different seat here would be very expensive and there are none in the couple of junkyards here. The seat cover is in good shape, it is the internals.

Right now I have a folded over towel over the seat which helps but is obviously a temporary fix.

David , those are the seat springs , not sold separately that I know of, try and find a seat local that has similar looking springs and swap them to your seat or find one in the states and see if the seller will just send you the springs , use the pass side ones as they won't be as USED ????

I need the wire that connects the seat adjusting knobs.

You can weld those back together fairly easily, which would be a zero cost fix. Otherwise you could try a wanted ad for some parting a seat out.

Thanks for the replies. I like the zero cost fix, especially given where we are located.

70ChallRTSE, I used a piece of stainless steel MIG welding wire to connect the levers, it worked pretty well.

I found one hanging from a hook in the closet in my basement the other day
