Had a heck of a week last week, I think I totalled another Diesel and I officially bought the season winning Duster from my engine builder. Its your typical back half 4-link car with a full cage. We have had some issues along the way, but we finally got it all togather this season. The 440/512 hurt a cam shaft, and we killed the Dana 60....And as we made more power, the slicks started to go away. Cracked a windsheild, and a few other oops along the way. But all in all, its has been a pretty good car, and I am used to it. The best car I have ever had really. It was his car and it was an absolute basket case, he and his crew put the car togather and he had it painted. And now I have driven it for the last two seasons, and we broke into the 9.90's with it this year and had three wins followed by leading the points from start to finish and then taking the overall #1 in points...Pretty sure its now the most feared car in the class. We will see what $$$ is available this winter to upgrade a few items...Would love to have enough $$$ to put a Gen2 or 3 Hemi in it...But the 512 has proven itself on pump gas, so for now its staying.

Congrats! I wouldn't change a thing if it is that consistent, just freshen/update the valve springs and bearings and brakes, etc... maybe Upgrade your trailer and your race day tools and equipment. OOPs just realized my work internet blocked your pictures.

Aint that a good question...Well before I was the driver, the crew that built it took it for an outing...Someone forgot to put fluid in the Dana before making a run...Locked up after returning to the pits. That was two years ago, and we basically thru hardened the gears, and I finally took almost all the teeth off the ring gear...It took two years though!
My plans this winter are to paint the cage, re-paint the floor, re-do the seat mount, Wilwoods on all four corners, master cylinder to the frame rail by the driver, a REAL fuel pump, new volt meter gauge, new slicks, and maybe, just maybe an SV1.....to replace that aneiemic little 950....
