I found and purchased my number's matching A56 that I bought new in 1969, special thanks to BB-Dave! She is a survivor!
The engine is being rebuilt. Brakes are done. I hope to have her on the street in 2014!
The photo shows the 44 year old paint. I am going to leave her "as is" for now.

Sweet! Is that W1? Hard to tell from the picture. Whats the rest of the story, why you sold it, etc. Lucky you.
I can't afford this.

I was newly wed and the car was not a winter time vehicle. So the 'ex and I traded it off.
I had found the car in 1995 but was not in a position to purchase it then, so let it pass. This past May I went on a search again and found the car!
I was able to make arrangements to purchase it! It is a numbers matching 69 340 4 speed 3:91 Sure Grip notchback 'Cuda.
I am building the engine to be able to run on 91 Octane fuel. It will be a "survivor" driver.
The attachment show the car and me in 1969. And also shows BB-Dave and me in 2013. I had not seen the car since 1970! Pa karp

Hey Pa, keep up the good work!!! I can't wait to hear about your first drive in it since 1970!!!
BB-Dave on other site, but same as big-block-dave here
I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

Under hood is painted. Engine bay will be soda blasted on Monday. Should have that painted by the end of the week. Plates went on today. This is what a lot of Fords and Gm products will see in the near future. Curt Rees

After 5 weeks of waiting on a cam shaft to ship, I cancelled the order and went to a different supplier. I ordered a CS1019R which should work good with the 4 speed and the 3:91 gear. With luck the motor will be together in a week or so. I had the A833 checked out and all it needed was seals and gaskets. My carb has been rebuilt. Once I have the motor in my possesion and the engine bay is painted, in it goes! I might make Christmas yet to have it running! Curt Rees

The good ol' South Dakota winter has slowed up my project. The engine bay has been on hold, my body shop buddy has some profitable projects going on, so I told him to take care of those customers that make him money 1st! lol Actually, we decided to do a little more work before he paints the engine compartment, easier now then after the drive train goes in. I had to round up a few more parts for the engine. Those came in this week. If the weather breaks, I plan on making the 350 mile round trip to pickup the engine. The goal is to do the "just in time" scenario in putting the car together. Spring time is a realistic goal now. Curt Rees

Engine has been built! I am planning on picking it up this weekend, the 4th and installing it back in the painted engine bay on the 5th. I am waiting for the trans to be put back together and then in it goes. I have ordered the last parts needed and will move the 'Cuda into our business shop for final assembly! The 340 should rock again soon for the 1st time in several years, maybe 20 or more! Curt Rees

My latest photos won't resize, but I will give some updates. The drive train is installed. The only thing left to do is install the new gas tank that I had to ordered. I pulled the old one, it was not salvageable. The new one will be installed this Sat. Then over to the exhaust shop. I decided to use the original exhaust manifolds instead of headers. I want to keep it as close to factory as I can. Once the exhaust is done, I will fire the car! Then the 2nd maiden voyage, 45 years later! I am attaching and engine bay photo. The car is probably coming out of the body shop this week. I will then attach a photo of it then also. Pa karp (Curt Rees)

Here is a new photo. Exhaust is being done on Monday. I hope to drive it this week end.
I still have some issues to resolve. Expected though.
