I have a guy doing my challenger in another state and he is asking about the holes for the bows in the inside roof........there seems to be 5 holes for a 5 bow headliner but when I took mine out it only used 4 bows.....question is will the 4 bow headliner fit right??? was there a choice in the 72 and later??? Just not sure.......

Howdy,
Here is pictures of my 74 before I took it apart, which is the same as yours.

Yes 4 bows are fine.

This is my 71 headliner, it only had 4 bows.

They didn't change the roof structure. There are spots for five bows but only used four.

Do you have your original headliner material? Was is perforated or was it the Yorkshire material?

My 71 has the perforated liner and my 74 has the other type. The one in my 74 was much easier to install verses the perforated one.

Yep, the Yorkshire material is a piece of cake to install. It doesn't get creases in it from packaging.

Yorkshire material looks like corduroy. Here is a picture with Yorkshire on top and perforated on the bottom.

I got mine through Dante's. It was a lot more then $69. If you don't care about originality, then the perforated one would be fine.
