Does anyone have pictures of a 70 GTX B5 Blue with the blue interior and wood grain dash in it. I'm not sure if I should go with the black interior with the wood grain or blue interior and wood grain.
Thanks for any and all info
Kevin

My 70 GTX is B7, black vinyl roof, blue interior. At first glance, the 'blue interior caught my attention' but it grows on you after a while. I'm a bit of a purest when it comes to restoring cars based on their build sheet and fender tag. The blue interior was the original interior colour.

Black interiors are dime a dozen, stick with the blue interior to set the car apart from the masses...if an interior colour change is inevitable...white IMHO

Looks like a dodge symbol in the center of the steering wheel, any reason why?

I ask because my GTX had a blue interior and for some reason had a dodge symbol in the center too.

The blue interior pics look like the blue steering wheel has the Plymouth "sail" in the center, but the seats look to be '70 Dodge Charger.

..... but the issue of more interest to me is the black carpet with 4-spd where the rest of the interior is blue. I know it's been discussed a number of times, but has there been any conclusion as to "What? When? Why?" this actually happened?

GTX fan Did the black carpet appear to be original? What plant & SPD was the above pictured blue interiored GTX?

I think he states it was originally a black interior (converted partially to blue).

Careful, your character's showing!

here is my B5 GTX. It has B5 split bench seat interior. Not quite finished yet, but very close. Also a stripe delete car. I vote to keep the blue interior!

Sorry for the confusion everyone. The original carpet was blue. My comment about the 'black' referred to the accumulation of dirt and mildew. I agree, in the photo, the carpet appears to be black. I certainly did not intend to create a new Mopar Mystery......

I found a complete blue interior for the car. It was in my old B3 70 RR I sold about 10 years ago and the guy put white interior. I got lucky on the find.

I know the carpet color was discussed earlier and was stated that "all 4 speeds had black carpet", but that new blue carpet with the blue interior looks awesome.

I don't have a clue as to my original carpet because it was gone when I bought the car, so I'm kind of up in the air as to what color (black or blue) I am going to install when I start putting it back toghether.
