Looking through the Classice catalog they list e-brake cables 2 ways. One has an intermediate cable and one doesn't. What dictates which one to use. I only have remnants of the cable attached to the e-brake,about 2 feet long if I remember correctly. Eveything else was missing. Thank you

1970 didn't use an intermediate cable. 71-74 did.(there may be exceptions) The 1970 front cable goes all the way back and connects to the two rear cables. The rear cables are different lengths. There is one bracket that is welded to the ds frame rail that both rear cable clip into.

When the intermediate cable is used, both rear cables are the same length and clip to little brackets on each frame rail.

Thanks for the help. My parking brake assembly looks to be original and has a cable about 3 feet long. The ds bracket near the spring hanger only has one hole. I assume I need the equal length rear cables and an equalizer bar? Thank you
