When it comes to marking the rear carrier housing all alpha or alpha numeric characters I have seen look stamped. Does anyone make a large character (7/8) stamp with a good font that is adjustable that would work for this application?
Just qurious, how do you read out a date code like this? What does the x mean?
THANKS Nicklas

Updating the list.
Housing, "9-14U". Pig, "9-14". Housing, "5-12Z". Pig, ? Housing, "2-16X". Pig, ? SPD 2/26. Housing, "...1L". Pig, "10-23". Hamtramck. SPD 11/8/68. Housing, "101G". Pig, ? Housing, "J128". Pig, ? Housing, "19U". Pig, ?
I think there is a correlation between the housing date and the pig date. Maybe same date or close.
Most stencils have more paint at the edges of the characters than the middle. Wonder what causes that?

I finshed an 8.3/4 for a 1969 Charger this spring and the dates were nearly a week apart.
I had a stamp made at rubberstampchamp.com to redo them
