I saw that on your Facebook. That was a crazy and lucky ride! I had the front tires lock up on me once in my old Daytona but luckily it didn't spin like that. Sure puckered me up though lol!

She was very lucky, most times when you get side-ways in a dragster it gets to bouncing and comes up on two wheels.

If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL

If she was a "darn good driver" she would have stopped much sooner to keep from dripping oil all the way down the track.

Amy Taub car didn't shift, i thought that looked like atco. really not to take anything from her but there's not a whole lot any driver can do in that situation you're just along for the ride, she got lucky...which is a good thing

on another note was that a time shot or did she foul (it looked like there were dial in's on the tree) i can't tell? either way it's fortunate she was way in front of the car. had it been eliminations or she didn't foul it could have been really ugly.

If that's the case, then she could have shifted the car herself. There's only one gear change...I mean how hard is that? I drove a powerglide equipped dragster too and have shifted it more than once myself when a air line would blow or it ran out of CO2. It was right between my legs, the shifter.

I also noticed that also(her red lght), didn't want to pile on the negativity. She must have red lighted because she left right after the car and caught the car way too early.

Got to sit in those cars for hours and envision the run at the shop by yourself. Use the controls with your eyes closed. Go over and over the run in your mind and know when the car is supposed to shift. Must get to be one with the car before you get to the track, because your not in the car for long at the track. Not much time to learn there where you could put other people in danger.

She wasn't holding onto one of these where you have to shift the car yourself and everything else. No electronics to shift the car. And I shift the car the first time at .9 seconds after I leave the line at 100mph.

not sure if she got it shifted, looks like she was trying to get it in high gear when it got loose

i'm not being negative i'm glad it went down like it did and there was no harm, no foul but i know i couldn't climb out of that and say it was my driving (not that she did). once that car turned past a certain point sideways the steering wheel is nothing but something to hold on to

I didn't watch it but for a second today. When I saw it a few weeks ago, I did notice her hands moving the steering before she spun.

Things do happen fast out there, but when broke down in your mind it would take me 3-5 minutes to relay a 5 second run to my crew chief.

If it didn't shift put it in neutral, she buzzed the motor to the moon watch the tach, typical driver that when something goes wrong they panic, I went 740 in my dragster and shifted it myself for 2 years, back in 1993.
