1973 Dodge Charger SE 400 automatic transmission. Curb weight: 3800 lbs. All stock so far. Goal: Reliable everday driveable warmed up 400 as close to 400hp as possible, then a 470 stroker if need be. Don't protect a feminist when the collapse comes!

Will it open from the inside and not the outside or not at all? My passenger side door had an issue where I had to reach inside to open the door as the outside handle did nothing.

It turned out, there was a cracked lever on my mechanism so I got somebody to pull a working one for me and I just cleaned it up and swapped out.

I suspect you could put an ad out here for your mechanism which should be the same for 73-74 B-bodies at least. Earlier 71/72 may fit but I think they had slightly different behavior as far as when the door would open from inside if it was locked, etc.

I think I paid like $20 for mine. Much cheaper than trying to try and repair something you don't want to mess with ever again. Put an ad in the the ad section and you should get somebody here who will pull one for you.

My 73 charger had a broken lever on the latch. I replaced the latch.

it opens from the inside but not the outside. could you see the videos? seems like a spring is missing.
