mickm OP master Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 4,179 California	i saw that there is a metal gasket between the starter and the bell housing, and it's said that this is on all 70-71 big blocks. i don't ever remember seeing one of these, so it obviously isn't functional. what is the story behind these?
