I am repairing my heater box and per the service manual, for a '70 Barracuda it references a blower motor flange that is on the engine side of the firewall (along with the seal). I cannot find any examples of this flange and all the restored cars I have seen do not have a flange? Did the '70 Cuda have a blower motor flange? From an engineering perspective it would seem there should be a a flange.

Related topic, what is the correct finish of the blower motor studs and nuts? Mine were painted engine color when I removed them but the underside of the nuts appear to be a yellow dichromate.

Makes sense. What about the finish, is yellow dichromate the correct finish, P&O or zinc dichromate?
