Nothing to hold your head down about man. If you wouldn't of killed it last year, you wouldn't be so hard on yourself right now. You've just set your own barr super high because of that success. I'm putting together a Hemi of my own that's going to be 4.065x4.05 and I want to keep my squirters as well. Manley pistons, Molnar crank,K1's is what I'm going with. Pretty sure the Manleys need cut for the squirters so if you could share some tips via pm or whatever I would be delighted. A lot of people say they're not needed, I say bull.

Mopar to the bone!!!

so the treck to Delray Beach went well(I could do a whole story on what I saw before sunrise in this town, it was bizzare). Dan gave me a demo of what the Rottler CNC he uses for block work does. I have to say, it was bad a$$. way back when I first met Dan, there where machines all over the place to do the things this one machine can do now.

the bores on my block were not nearly as bad as I thought, So I guess Dan will have to figure out why the pistons can almost rotate upside down in the bores

I saw this hanging on the wall and when I went to snap a picture, He frantically tried to polish it up first. I'm sure he will be happy it looks as clean as it does in this picture

I watched the live feed everyday. Your car runs stout. The best part is that you can tune it and go back next year and put the hurt on everybody. Great Job! matt

the car that won my class had a 25k engine on race gas in a 2000lb mazda and I think I could have run with it if I had only worked harder. that makes me feel good and like crap at the same time. but Thanks

If you would have left your wedge in there and just increased the cubes you would have brought home another win for sure!

I was sandbagging last year. I wouldn't have needed to do anything except get a license and cert

So the moral of this story is to get the license and cert. Put the wedge back in it (I would add some displacement just for insurance) and you should be back in the winners circle!

Could have saved a lot of time, expense, stress, bandwidth on this site…

Some people like the challenge and to try new things. I think the Hemi will end up being faster than the wedge it replaced.

You of all people should understand this with your R&D on a head.

my BB has treated me very good for the last ten years but I really like the new Hemi. it just looks different and when I get it running good I will be able to say "I could pull 8 spark plug wires off and still run you over"

the car I lost to had a 25 thousand dollar engine in a 2000 lb car. If that car would have run like it should, nothing I have would beat that.

so you say I should have added cubes, for what? so now my EZ heads and weiand tunnel ram would be completely worthless? and then you tell me all I have done is waste time, money, stress and bandwith.

you are the winner

WEISCO doesn't have a shelf 4.09 piston. working on that situation now. the longer it takes to get pistons, the longer it will be before I get it back. I'm trying to relieve Dan from doing all the work on finding a set of slugs so he can do what he does in the shop

I'm a diamond dealer, they should have what you need.
I know Icon is working on their pistons right now, not sure on sizing but I can find out if interested?
