Has anyone used a rebuilt thermoquad carb from Summit Racing and did it work well?

Problem with rebuilds is they usually don't bush the throttle shafts.

Yup. So far two 'rebuilt' carbs from commercial companies both of them didnt even bother to pull the throttle plates and shaft before sandblasting everything. Go to pull them after the fact and you could see the rust on the hidden surfaces.

The majority of parts store rebuild carbs are very questionable I myself would rebuild what I have or go to q Rochester Q jet unless restoring. The majority of TQ's are questionable I know I have a half dozen sitting that I obtained in early 80s and even then throttle shafts were issue avoid real heavy return springs

I looked into getting one, but for not too much more $$$, I got a COMPLETELY restored TQ from Scott Smith, and it not only worked flawlessly right out of the box, but it's a work of art, too.

My ...spend a few extra bucks and get a carb that you know will be exactly right. Scott's reputation is stellar for a reason.
