New to this site and hoping I can get a quick answer. The rear leaf springs in my GTX are sagging and are in need of a rebuild, so I've been shopping around for prices and looking at just swapping the springs out for another set. I found a guy selling a set of AFCO #20231 XHD springs for cheap money. He claims he had them installed on his 72 Satellite but didn't like the increase in height (claims it was only a inch). So I checked out AFCO's site and they say the springs have a 20 1/2 front segment and 52 7/8 overall lenght....correct me if I'm wrong but stockers are 22 front segment and 58 overall. He says he had no problem putting them in and that he didn't use extended spring hangers. Does anybody here have experience with these springs and know if they will work on my car. If his asking price wasn't soo tempting I wouldn't bother asking and would just buy a set from ESPO. Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't.

I made the mistake of getting leafs one inch too short on the front segment.
my leafs are bent backwards on the rear segment now.

it is possible it would clear the wheel wells depending on how small a tire you run, but it will screw up the rear hangers and force the springs to bend backwards to accomidate travel.

I was worried that might happen but figured the measurements were shorter due to the arch on the AFCO's being 6 5/8 versus the stock arch of 5.
