Hey gang...
Got my buddy's car back to finish the assembly of his '71 v-code Challenger R/T........

Ok for you E-body gurus...... This clip is apparently something that helps secure the middle of the door panel to the inner door sheetmetal so there's not a wide separation..... Does anyone reproduce this clip and was it ONLY used in the middle position of the panel? It may be backwards, I just placed it on the panel to take the picture. Also, the injected panels, has anyone installed them and if so, how much tweaking did you have to do? The panel doesn't fit perfectly on the top forward edge....

Thanks in advance...
Troy

There is only one clip per panel, in the middle. At least that is what I have seen on just about all E-bodies that I restored or parted out. I don't know if repro is available?

RestoRick offers the clips

And I agree, I've only ever seen one per panel, but a set of 6 certainly wouldn't hurt

Thanks for the post...I found one of those in the passenger side door laying on the bottom rusted and never knew what it was for. The driver's door was totally missing.

On the Cuda, I used Metro's piece. It did not fit perfectly but in a hot garage with the panel warm, I could get it to kind of stretch over everything it needed to go over. Just a little patience and it went on just right.
