which port on which carb are you getting a zero reading? Is that at idle? Low vac from a massive vacuum leak but more info as something is missing

I just took my AVS out to the garage so I dont have it in front of me on the kitchen table to check it but I would assume that that front mini port nipple is "ported" & would (& should) have zero vac at idle. 3 in hg at the booster ain't right tho & definitely will not activate the booster but I'm not seeing (yet) how it could be that low. Where are you mounting the gauge?

You might bump the initial up a bit to up the vacuum keeping in mind that that may require dist mods (springs, slots) to compensate.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

When I disconnect the booster and block it's line the vacuum gauge does not change. So it does not seem like the booster is leaking. However, the brakes are really hard to push with the vacuum line connected. I get about 10 - 13 pounds vacuum so I would think that would be enough to make it work.
Can anyone recommend where I can buy a booster that is original appearing and is not crazy expensive (aka YearOne - they want $499 for theirs).
Vacuum is commonly measured in inches of mercury. In round numbers, 30 in mercury = 15 psi. 10 psi vacuum would be 20 inches mercury which is very good for a healthy engine and stock cam. Agree more than enough for power brakes.
