Question:
I was needing to service the AC.

First thing I did was by a good set of manifold gauges.

After checking the pressures and pulling off the test hose's I noticed the high side port was leaking refrigerant.

I took a pick and tried to un stick it but did not stop.

I bought a generic high and low side service port kit, had New inner cores and a removal tool.

I find the tool will not go all the way into the high side port, seems like the housing is narrow before getting to the valve.

I then ordered a service valve pack for the make and model and it comes with the aluminum valve housing that screws into the metal part of the hose.

I am not sure if it is the high or low side.

The inside core has to be inserted and not sure my other tool will fit into the new valve.
Have not opened the package yet.

Are these aluminum vavles difficut to un screw from the hose?
With my luck, I will end up bending up my high pressure hose and have to get a new one.

Any tricks or special tool to get the core out of the high side port?
