I am confused. I installed my center link on my cuda the way the FSM shows (i think). The bend is towards the front on the car. I have seen a few pics where the bend is towards the back of the car. What is correct??? What issues are the if it is installed backwards? couple pics... looking from the front under the car. FSM

Funny?.....that pic is of Dave Walden's 1970 white/blue striped Challenger that IIRC scored 99.22% OEM Gold, the highest score currently obtained IIRC....guess you guys aren't that "detail oriented" or know OEM equipment when you see it, and you call yourselves experts....who's now?

My 'detail orientation' as it relates to that pic is that round pipes flow better than dented pipes. I do not care to sacrifice function under the hood or under the car for the sake of OEM condition.

Get under the car and watch it as someone turns the steering full left or right. I'll bet it will hit the oil pan.

I am sure your Q has been answered but I was just over at my racing partners' shop this AM & thinking of this thread I took a peek at the challenger stock car (what's left of it) & the bend is SLIGHTLY to the rear

Pretty poor attempt at the pipe flats. Looks like a forklift picked the car up from under the headpipes. Originals would look like the enclosed picture.
