What kind of fan clutch? There are shorter fan clutches than the factory.

I do belive it is a shorter version already. It projects out maybe 1/8th past the blades. I think i have to move the snout and the clutch with blades back if I am going to be able to keep the clutch. Not sure if that is possible. I started looking at it again my only option now may be no clutch. Will this harm anything????
just went out to measure. I got 3 1/4 from the end of the pulley to the front (radiator side) of the fan cluch.

The popular Jaguar clutch is 2 3/4"...the half inch might help. Hayden part #2765 which is for a '90 Jag XJ6.
