I have changed the pump, filter, and sock. I think the pump is going out again after less than a month. It is randomly dieing from lack of fuel. I want to just bypass the in tank pump and put one in line. Does any one know which pump would work.
Thanks

Whats fuel pressure with old and new pumps?

A failing pressure regulator can burn pumps up as well as a restriction or faulty voltage.

These tbi engines are a pia but still pretty simple to fix. Start with codes, then fuel pressure then wiring inspection

I have not checked as I just limped it home. It would crank and run for a minute or two at idle. Once I would press the pedal it would die. It finally cranked up and I was able to drive it home as if nothing was wrong. I am hoping to just bypass the in tank pump with an inline pump. I am planning on a stroker motor next spring so I will need more fuel either way.
