I removed the leaky fuel filter heater on my '93 Cummins. It ran good. drove it to the station got some fuel and all was well. I drove to the parts store and it wouldn't start. Fuel was leaking at the front of the injector pump! It was idling rough and I kept it revved in neutral at the lights for the drive home.

Last week I started it and no leak! Wazzzup with that?

BTW What is that brake wheel cylinder looking thing with a switch on the pump? I forgot to put the wire back on there, it ran fine without it.

There will be a KSB valve (Used when starting)and a Fuel shut off solenoid. The shut off one is in behind the pump facing directly rearward. It won't start and run at all if the wire's not on that one. The KSB is on the side.
My gut feeling is you're in a BAD LUCK rut. If it ain't a cracked line, then it'll be injector pump time. DAMHIK....
