I am installing the clutch master cylinder and the push rod seams to be short,
Can someone give me a starting point on where the pedal should be at rest?
Should it be up against the bump stop?
Thanks.

My pedal at rest is probably 2 inches from the stop. I have the Keisler TKO-600 kit with hydraulic clutch in my 69 Coronet R/T. If you don't have an answer tomorrow I can definitely get an exact measurement and picture. PM me or I'll check in here on the board.

Jackson,

I'm assuming your using factory pedals,.....the clutch pedal should end up in it stock location, against the stop,.....when you drilled out the pedal to recieve the hyd. pushrod heim/ rod end, did you grind off the factory button?......and use that hole?.......

Also, if you premounted the hyd. cylinder, being just a "tad" low on the firewall, will lower the pedal height,.....best to prestage the parts, measure twice, drill once,.......shouldn't matter if your doing a A,B, or E body

My car was an automatic car to start, I am using the pedals from Keisler and I am using the hole that is predrilled in the clutch pedal.
The cylinder is mounted as per Keisler instructions using the factory hole in the firewall.

Give me a call or PM me your name and number and I'll call you. We have 10 different lengths of extension rods. I'm sure we can get the pedal where you like it.
Ideally, you want the pedal up against the rubber bump stop when the pedal is all the way out.
You also have to maintain a 1.4" pushrod travel and you want to achieve the 1.4" travel at the same time that the pedal hits the floor.

Yes, up against the stop. And you will be fine. The 1.4 inch is the maximum we want to see, 1 inch is the minimum.

But then my adjustable push rod is too short.
I am using the complete Keisler set up, pedals and all.
