My tail lights and brake lights aren't working. I was sure that it was the fuse, and when I checked it - sure enough - it was out. But when I replaced it, the lights STILL weren't working. The bulb filaments all look good and the license plate light IS working, so I'm not sure what to check next. It's probably simple, but I'm stumped. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, turn signals and side marker lights ARE working, just no tail lights or brake lights.

(1) tail (running) lights/lic plate light/side marker lights are on the same single hot wire originating from the headlight switch so since the taillights work you have power to the rear of the car. At the T back there find the open from it to the bulbs/sockets, see that the bulb(s) are making good contact at the base contact for the small filaments. check that the bulb case/sockets have continuity to ground. (2) Turn signals and brake lights are on the same 2 wires at the connector behind the drivers side kick panel so since the TS work then the open is upstream from there (TS switch/its' harness/brake light switch/brake light fuse). Unplug the dangling TS/brake connector under the column & see if the white wire in the body half of the connector has fire when the brake pedal is depressed. If good there then with the TS stalk in neutral see on the column half of the connector with your VOM see if there is continuity between the white wire and the 2 brake light wires (there should be). www.mymopar.com has the colors for you. I rechecked, and it appears that the brake lights DO work (my wife wasn't pressing down on the brakes hard enough the first time I checked). Also, the first time I tested, the side marker lamps were working, but now they aren't (making me think I've got a loose wire somewhere). So now everything works except for my tail lights and (sometimes) my side marker lights. I'll try the tests you recommended and see if I can find anything. Thanks.

All lights are now working except for the tail lights. I've checked the bulbs and they're good. Where should I check next for a bad connection?

Fuses are all good. Does the tail light fuse also affect the turn signal and license plate lights?

Plate light is working. So where do they tail lights and plate light branch off of the same hot wire? Anyone happen to have a wiring schematic? Thanks in advance for any help.
