Not sure what to call it really but my questions is, there was posting previously about a company that makes a nice aluminum replacement adapter. The oil filter disc that bolts to the side of a SB block. Any info on that ??? Thanks

get the canton one and no more blowouts.
That's just what I did for my R block. Then I had an accident while cleaning up the pocket under the filter boss and had to re-configure my oiling system and use a remote filter. Yes , I felt like a dolt. But Ryan told me how to block off that passage and convert to a remote filter and the rest is history. The Canton part still needs the nipple for the filter itself....15.00 at the dealer. But this is the goods.

CV Products also makes one that comes with the nipple. I haven't test fitted it on anything and my understanding is that it's for an R block only. Nice o-ring seal.
I dont know why it would be for R block only
